William Edward Donaldson
William Donaldson is an award-winning English composer and orchestrator with national success in his musicianship. Will was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours after completing Music Composition & Technology for Film and Games with Study Abroad and Employment Experience at the University of Hertfordshire. He attended San Diego State University for his Study Abroad Program and is an alumnus of Northampton School for Boys where he completed his Employment Experience in the Music Department.
Since university, Will has worked with the BBC, BBC Sounds, de Havilland Philharmonic, Music for Youth (MFY), Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT), East London Schools Orchestra Festival (ELSOF) and Northampton School for Boys.
Will works with a combined range of composition techniques and styles. His portfolio incorporates hybrid-orchestral music with field and Foley recording to create his signature sound, using numerous industry-recognised techniques to achieve the highest calibre for his projects. Will's portfolio covers composition, sound design and orchestration for film, television, trailers & adverts, video game development, animation and dance.
William Donaldson has more than a decade of experience in the performing arts and is an accomplished pianist and brass player of 15 years. He continues to direct and conduct his work and his dedication to composition and international performance has provided many memorable recitals at world-renowned venues.
